Consumer Safety Investigation Commission
In the 180th Diet, partial amendment was made to the Consumer Safety Act. Based on the Act, the Consumer Safety Investigation Commission was established on October 1, 2012.
The Commission investigates accidents affecting the life and health of consumers in order to determine the causes of the accidents and to find various preventive measures.
Based on the result of the investigation, the Commission offers recommendations and opinions to the Prime Minister and/or the heads of relevant administrative organs.
